Hello Reader,
After 150 issues, The Shift has shifted.
What started as doses of creativity and coaching moments has evolved into field notes that subtly shift you toward your dream venture and a more creative life. Over three years, we've grown from a handful of subscribers to over 1,000.
I'm grateful you've been along for the ride, Reader.
The Shift is becoming Atelier After Hours, which is more aligned with sharing personal stories about the beautiful mess of creating — that feel like a conversation between close friends in the studio after hours.
Picture this: A playlist and the smell of amber, leather, and ink wafting in the air. Candles flickering, ice cracking in highball glasses, magazines open on a marble table, eyes meeting, recognizing the vulnerability of being a creative on this spinning rock.
It also connects my creative universe: Kollektiv Studio, Welcome to the Creative Club, and Atelier After Hours, which feels purposeful and cohesive.
As part of this change, we’re moving to Substack next week, which feels like the right home for these field notes. Substack allows comments on posts, has notes and chats, and is more fit for purpose - connection and community.
But the field notes remain the same. Nothing new here. Just a new platform that supports community and a new name that captures the spirit of this newsletter.
You don't need to do anything – your subscription automatically transfers and you'll keep receiving these field notes as usual.
Starting next week, you'll get emails from my new Substack address instead of Kit, but everything else stays the same – same field notes, same schedule.
If you don't want to join the party, simply unsubscribe. I'll be sorry to see you go, but I understand if it's not your scene.
If you're curious, you can visit our new home on Substack to browse the archive or adjust your subscription preferences.
I'm excited about this move and what it means for our community.
I have the feeling that Atelier After Hours can become something bigger, and this is just the beginning.
Thank you for being part of this journey – whether you've been here since day one or just entered the studio.
With gratitude,
P.S. If you have any questions about the move, just reply to this email. I read every single one.
